Project: Mino at Work
A character a few centimetres tall has to become an exhibition piece almost as tall as a person, keeping the proportions and the character of the original. In fibreglass this would take a model and a mould, built for a single piece and then thrown away.
A large format figure, light to move and to display, faithful to the original model, ready in days and with the finish of a piece of furniture.
The character was rebuilt digitally and printed to scale with the NUGAE system, split into sections: body and legs in one colour, head, arms and feet in another. No mould, no milling of a solid block. The parts were then finished, painted and assembled.
No model and no mould to build and dispose of
